Australia Day Long Wet Weekend

Hey Dolls,

Sorry that I have been absent we have had an extremely wet and unpredictable long weekend. We have only just got Electricity back after not having any power since Sunday.

You never realise how much you rely on Electricity in your home, we lost most of our food which we had only just bought. The hole town was without power for days having to travel to buy ice to keep what food we had cold and to get petrol.

Luckily we have good friends who live 3 houses up who have a lot of camping gear so we were able to get a gas cooker to try and cook food and boil water. we also went there to have a shower which we had to boil water and hook up a camping shower to a boat battery to power the water through the shower head.

I  could not make it into work today due to being flooded in and have now just got our electricity back on in our house. I cannot wait to have a nice long shower and to wash my hair!

I hope everyone else had a lovely weekend else where and my thoughts go out to the people who have lost everything throughout Queensland due to the flooding and Cyclone.

Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner (Total Nourishing Care) – Beauty Review

Hey Guys!

I’m so happy to be able to start blogging again since I have got my internet back up and running I thought I would start with haircare since I haven’t review any hair products yet!
Clear scalp & hair beauty therapy is a product that states that it “offers a nourishing line of shampoo, conditioners and treatments which treat the right end of the hair. Clear gently nourishes the scalp and keeps it health and moisturized”

I am currently using this shampoo and conditioner in total nourishing care I bought it a while ago and hardly used it and shoved it in my bathroom vanity. However I’m trying to use up all of my current products to make way for new ones.

I do like to use salon shampoo and conditioner but it can be expensive so sometimes i switch to supermarket brands. This product was on sale and I thought why not give it a try as I saw that Miranda Kerr was promoting it.

I will honestly say I am not a big fan of this product. Yes it does make my hair feel soft and clean as soon as I wash it but throughout the day my hair starts to fell heavy and clogged with product. I then feel that I have to wash my hair again the next day which I don’t like doing, It also makes me slightly itchy.

I have read some other reviews on this product and have found that a few people have commented saying their hair has fallen out. This has not happened to me but I am not going to risk it happening at all. I would not re purchase this product again

If you have used this I would love to know what you think.

Beauty Review – Benefit brows a go-go

Hey Guys!

I thought I would give a quick review on my favourite brow kit. I have been using this kit every day for a long time now and I think it is amazing! The kit contains brown wax, two light- medium shadow shades, brow highlight, eye brightener, mini tweezers, mini eye liner and a mini double ended brush to apply the wax and shadow.
I go between both brow shadows depending on how dark I want my eye brows and the occasion, I also enjoy using the brow highlight I put pat it on with my figure. This kit is so nifty and easy to store when traveling. Overall this product is a must for my everyday make up look!

The only downside is that here in Australia this product is extremely overpriced I highly recommend purchasing this offline.

What is your favourite eyebrow product?

Beauty Review – Australis eye shadow primer

Hello Dolls

I have just picked this product up and I am quite impressed with it. The product is easy to apply, has no colour when applied and keeps my shadow on all day and I have noticed that my eye shadow is more vibrant. The pink and black packaging on this product is so cute as well.  This product is inexpensive and you can purchase this product from Priceline for $12.95.
This primer is going to be a staple in my collection for a long time!

Please let me know what your favourite eye shadow primer is.

I love a good bargain! - Almay smoky eye kit for brown eyes

Hello Dolls,

Today I was looking around Priceline as I was waiting for them to prepare a script for me. I don’t usually look at the Almay Section as I’m more a Maybelline and Revlon fan but I was curious as to what products they had and to my surprise they had these gorgeous smoky eye kits containing a mascara, eye liner and eye shadow on special now as you can see on the box the kit is valued at $60.85 but they were selling them for $29.95 however lucky for me they were on special for $10.47!

I have never tried Almay products before and will be sure to post a review once I have used these products.

My Holy Grail – Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation

Hello Dolls,

I originally bought this product because I was curious after seeing it numerous times in monthly favourites and tutorials. I must say I usually wouldn’t go for this sort of product after having bad experiences with mouse type foundations in the past I have just stuck to liquid products.
The foundation comes in a large glass container I think it looks very nice. It is a medium – full coverage foundation. The thick cream is so easy to build and is not heavy at all I applied it with my real techniques buffing brush and went over with my beauty blender and it gave such nice full coverage but natural finish.

The foundation claims to last up to 24hours however I do not have any need to have make up on my face for that long but found that it lasted all day which is good enough for me.
I do find that Revlon products here in Australia are a lot more expensive than in the States, over here it retails for approximately $34.95 in Priceline however I'm sure that you could find it cheaper online.
I really like this foundation. It looks great and last all day. I would love to know your thoughts or what your Holy Grail Foundation is please comment below.
